 1)Ethnic Group: group of people belonging to one common kind and are brought together throug a strong We Feeling. ...not every group that may be having a belongingmes to a region or religion etc can emerge as a ethic group as long as that characteristc remains to be a working charactesristics  not on a emotion line of bringing that strong We Feeling...they do not emerge as ethnic line.

3)Clan =in sanskrit its called Gotra......a group of people  that trace there ancestor to a common mythical ancistor established or unestablished ancestors. The ancestor can be an animate or inanimate human or non human entity.
